Now go to your mouse settings > Assignments > System and map "Profile cycle" to a key (not the onboard one). On G hub, Go to your games and applications.Ĭlick on the application that's not desktop, duplicate the profile at the bottom, then drag and drop that duplicate to the "desktop application"Ĭlick on desktop, and you should see "default" and the copy of your app profile. (You can do it for more but it becomes confusing). It's annoying but I found a workaround if it's only 1 or 2 extra apps that you need to switch between. How is this still an issue?ĭoes anyone have any advice for getting the profile switcher to wake up without having to restart my computer? I'm honestly out of ideas for trying to fix this, short of uninstalling and reinstalling GHub every time it breaks. This fixes it, but is an unacceptable solution as it wastes all the time I save from using macros.Ī quick google search for "logitech g hub not switching profiles" will bring back tons of results, dating all the way back to 2018. Close everything I'm working on, restart my laptop.A combination of any and all of the above.Stop the LGHUB Updater Service from the services manager and restart it.Kill LGHUB Updater in task manager and reopen.Close Logitech G Hub from the system tray, and reopen it.Close and reopen one of the programs I have a profile for.Enable a persistent profile and then turn it off again.Plug the mouse into a different USB port.Double check that persistent profile isn't on.Haven't done any testing to check if leaving the mouse plugging in during sleep vs unplugging before sleeping has any effect. It doesn't always stop working, but it's often enough that I've decided to post about it. ![]() Just locking the screen and leaving for a while triggers the bug, as does closing the lid. However, after my laptop goes to sleep the profile switching sometimes stops working. Usually the profile switching works like a charm. Macros have become an integral part of my workflow. I've defined several profiles for everything from Chrome to Visual Studio. I believe that the reason why this happens is that the game doesn't keep an active window check always on, and so LGS sees it as not the main window, so revert to default binds.I've got a G600, which I love so much that I've bought 3 spares. If you have "Lock profile while game is running" checked, then even if it's not your currently active window, as long as the process is detected by windows it will be in that profile. But I finally found one that so far works 100% of the time, and that's setting the profile to lock when the game is running. I've tried all the different tricks to make it work, such as running the game in admin, using a custom launcher, running the LGS as admin, and dozens of other tricks. However, the custom profile for XIV tends not to work, as MANY LGS users have pointed out previously. So I have the Orion Spectrum G910 keyboard and G300s mouse, both of which have a number of extra buttons that you can bind macros or multiple keys to, while playing an MMO these can be very helpful. If you have a Logitech keyboard or mouse that has custom buttons that you assign in the Logitech Gaming Software, make sure the custom profile has "Lock profile while game is running" checked, otherwise it often time will not work. Hello everyone, I would like to make a post about XIV and Logitech's Gaming Software's weird interactions with each other.
